This incredible chess set was created as a replica of the famous scene in the Harry Potter movie 'The Philosopher's Stone', whereby Harry and Ron play Wizards chess at Hogwarts. They used an Isle of Lewis Chess Set with an off-white and black leather board with stitching in a cross pattern. See the famous scene here.
Our Red Isle of Lewis Chess Pieces are one and the same as those in the movie. In the film it appears that the board was customized with edging of gold and some weathering.
