They have been carefully made from clean grain Boxwood and Sheesham - a rich wood defined by exceptional grains and tones. The design of the chess pieces includes a very distinctive shank. While the style is Staunton, the straight shanks have become curved, and vice versa. This makes the rook appear as the most original in the set, with a smooth curved body, as opposed to its usual tapered design. Each piece is weighted at their bases to just the right degree of balance.
