The Atlantic Series represents a classic interpretation of the standard Staunton design. These pieces have been turned, carved, finished and polished by master craftsmen. The white pieces are derived from the most common wood used for the white pieces, Boxwood. The dark pieces are derived from deep red/brownish coloured Rosewood that will gradually take on a slightly darker hue over the years. All pieces are double weighted with durable felt bases. 

The Knights are distinct with their aggressive stance – frightening for your opponent! Each piece has been finished with hand polishing, which is quite a time consuming task. This configuration of pieces is meant for boards with a square size of two inches or more. Our 20 inch boards are the right complement.
