Folding Chess Sets
Our range of folding chess sets has been expanded with new sizes and designs. All of our folding sets have a storage area for pieces that is secured once the set is folded between games. The sets are constructed of graded hard woods from one of the most renowned manufacturers in the world. Many of the designs you will soon see here are proprietary to The Regency Chess Company. We have also worked with our supplier to bring some new innovations and refinements - in particular the magnetic closure that replaces the inconvenient metal clasp ... and the integrated mortise and double tenon rounded joint for the corners of the board.
Magnetic Chess Sets
All of our folding chess sets are magnetic. Each board has a metal sheet beneath the inlaid wood light and dark squares. The individual pieces are hollowed out at the base and a strong magnet is inserted before the green felt base is attached. The magnetic feature enables you to be able to play while in transit. Best of all, if you are in the middle of a game, and you need to move for whatever reason, you have a simple way to keep your position intact.
