Isle of Lewis Compact Decorative Chess Set

Our Isle of Lewis Compact Chess Set is quite a popular gift item. This set looks absolutely great as a furniture accessory or accent – with the board closed or with the pieces on top.

At 9 inches in diameter this set is just a little too small for practical play. However, if you really cannot decide upon a gift item for a chess aficionado, this one is almost universally appealing.

I must admit that I find the Celtic slant quite interesting – my ancestors emigrated from the Emerald Isle in the 1830’s.
