Finnesburg Brass and Olive Luxury Chess Set

This set is a complete departure from the classic wooden chess board and piece combination. Both the board and pieces are designed and fabricated by professional Italian chess artisans. The pieces are solid Brass and Nickel plated Brass construction with beautiful detailed decorative embossing. The pieces have good weight and are nicely balanced. The design is based on the classic Staunton concept, however the result is something more allegorical and detailed. The pieces are fitted with red felt pads on their base to protect the playing surface. They are presented in a special cardboard presentation box - making them the perfect gift.

The Italian Erable and Elm Burl board in Olive Green is a visual masterpiece. It is finished in a very high gloss lacquer. The wood grain and knotting of the burl looks almost three dimensional under the rich lacquer. The inlaid veneer squares are bordered with a thin veneer of red wood that sections off the playing area from the edge. The base of the board features a lacquered wooden veneer with felt pads to protect surfaces upon which it is placed..

This unique chess set combination will brighten up any room and will draw attention.
