Product Description:

Expertly turned Brass and Nickel plated Brass chess pieces, designed and manufactured in Italy. They are based loosely on the Staunton design that is so familiar, such as the bridled Knight yet have much more detail than is usually found on wooden pieces. They are finished in a fine coat of lacquer that protects the metal from tarnishing and really brings the collection to life, especially when presented on a glossy board. The bottom of each piece is fitted a distinctive red felt pad, protecting the playing surface from scratches during play. Finally this collection is shipped in a special cardboard presentation box, making them the perfect gift option.

The Italian made Erable and Elm Burl board in Dark Grey is a visual masterpiece. Finished in a very high gloss lacquer, the wood grain and knotting of the burl looks almost three dimensional under the rich lacquer. The inlaid veneer squares are bordered with a thin veneer of Ebony that sections of the playing area from the edge. The underside of the board features a lacquered wooden veneer and has felting pads to protect surfaces underneath.

This unique chess set combination will brighten up any room and will draw the attention of all.

This set ships free of charge to any location in Canada.
