The Bath Ebony & Dark Walnut Grand Chess Set

The Dark Walnut Chess Board in this set, hand made in Florence, was the only board we could find that does justice to the exceptional Ebony Bath Chessmen.

The Bath Series Ebony chess pieces had outshine everything near them. With this in mind we spoke to our suppliers in Italy about making a dark luxury chess board.

Walnut and Ebony

After a few months we received a luxury chess board of the highest quality, with deep grains of walnut running throughout the border and dark squares. The natural pattern means each chess board is unique as defined by its attractive walnut and ebony perimeter lines.

Upon this luxury Italian chess board is the aforementioned Bath Chessmen in Ebony with the Kings at an impressive 4.25 inches in height.

Their size creates an imposing force matched only by the opposing ornaments. A head-to-head battle featuring two such imperious competitors is bound to enthrall, particularly when their playing field is quite as beautiful as the dark walnut chess board.
