Our Antipodean Chess Pieces are a mainland European twist on the standard Staunton design. The unique design that contrasts colours atop Bishop, Queen and King look correct with the stylish Etruscan Knight. This interesting set has been carved, turned, polished and finished in Rosewood and a fine grade of Boxwood. Each piece is triple weighted to complement the strong styling.  This nice European chess board is constructed of Mahogany and Maple veneer. The bottom of each board has green felt supports to protect finished surfaces. It is made to a good standard and represents good value for a wooden chess board.
