Our Old English Elite Staunton chess pieces are one of the finest classical designs. Each piece congruently harmonizes with its peers. The balance, design and uniformity of the respective pieces make the set a real conversation piece – perhaps for a long and interesting conversation!   The chess pieces are carved, polished and finished in a top grade of Ebony and Boxwood with a tight fine grain.

The hand polishing of these pieces provide a much superior finish to that of lacquered pieces. As Ebony continues to appreciate in value due to restricted supply this is a set of pieces that can only become more valuable over time.
