This is a very nicely constructed chess case featuring a veneer root burl wood. The contemporary chrome clasps are recessed into the case to provide an attractive design. The chrome hinges allow the lid to stay open in a fixed position. The base is covered in felt in order to prevent scratching any surface upon which it may rest. Overall the quality is remarkable. An excellent and classy choice for the storage of your chess pieces! Pieces not included.

Please note that when the chess pieces are placed in the box it is normal and intentional for them to lay down on top of each other. It is not possible for all pieces to stand up inside the box.
