This chess set is a combination of our Ebonized Black Victoria chess pieces with our new European made Wenge and Maple wooden chess board at 19-3/4 inches.
Individually Crafted at a Remarkable Level
These chess pieces have been finely created from a fine grade of Boxwood. Each piece has excellent balance by virtue of the double weights in the base of each piece. The fine proportions of the Victoria Chess Series pieces are finished and polished with natural wax. The uniformity of the pieces is evident in that all four knights are as near to identical as is possible. You will be hard pressed to find a set with such consistency in this price range.
The chess board is manufactured in Spain from veneers of dark brown Wenge and light Maple that are joined with precision. The rich dark colours of the Wenge complement the standard black finish of the chess pieces. You will also notice the very tight wood grain in the fine Spanish chess board. This is a classic Staunton set that is great for a game as well as showing quite well.
